Rick comes to us with 21 years of industry experience. Starting out in sales with MBNA America Bank straight out of college, he gained an understanding of credit and risk. From there, he made his way through the ranks of various mortgage banking companies as a frontline salesman, operations manager, founder, and has even been acquired by other companies throughout his career. He comes to Coastal with the belief that we have the best overall platform and highest level of service available for both the originator and the borrower.⁠

Rick is a member of the Board of Governors for the Maryland Mortgage Brokers and Bankers Association (MMBBA), and sits on the boards of several other local associations and non-profits in the Baltimore metro area. He has been featured in Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, MarketWatch, and was labeled by the Associated Press as the “Jerry Maguire” of mortgage lending for giving updates on market trends. ⁠
